Equity Co-investment

Equity investments may be made in high potential and innovative Northern Territory ventures to secure funding and accelerate business development and growth into national and global markets, stimulating economic activity and creating Territory jobs.

Key features

  • Equity Investments of up to $5 million may be made provided the investment is matched or exceeded by co-investors.
  • Investments would be made in high potential companies which would not otherwise have access to a complete capital solution through private debt and equity markets.
  • Where an Equity Investment is made, the Territory will take an ownership interest. However, Territory liability and exposure from business operations will be limited only to the extent of the Territory investment.
  • The Equity Investment interest will be held by the Territory for an agreed period of time, after which the Territory may divest this interest.
